2 corinthians 6:6-10
6 in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love;
-qualities that we should be striving to obtain as christians.
7 in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left.....
-with God on our side, there is always hope for us to become better. rely on scripture as much as we can.
10 sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
-how can you be sorrowful and joyful at the same time? when we feel like we have nothing, that's when God shows us everything. so for that, rejoice. even when one person falls, He may utilize this to push others in faith, just as paul had done.
this passage is a continuation of the attitudes that Paul presses for as he continues to endure hardships. the question that comes into mind for me is "what would jesus do?" for whatever decision i make or situation i am faced with. the way in which Paul addresses his situations reflect this. let's stop and think about ourselves for a moment.. how much of these qualities do you possesS? if not at all, seek them.. seek them for God's glory and for His honor.
