3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,
another striking passage-- the major way we can reflect that we have accepted God's love is by living according to His commands.. but there's just so many, ever feel like your head's gonna explode trying to keep them in mind?! isn't that why a lot of us fall away from God and from church so easily? or why there are people out there who absolutely refuse to accept God.. sometimes, yes HIs commandments just seem like a list of laws. but lets keep in mind the fact that this list is GOd's list and these are HIS laws. they are set to be the basis of our christian morality.
