Peter and the apostles--

ACTS 5:17-42

reading this passage made me smile =) it makes me warm inside, knowing the fact that as long as you're following the word of God, things will be okay and God will be smiling at us. His Word > anyone else's words.

but despite all that, how do i become more like peter and the apostleS?? how do i not place shame on what the Gospel says?

i just feel so caught up in society today, that sometimes, it's hard to express my beliefs- it's hard to be a witness of God's glory.

i know that as christians, we're asked to give up a lot sometimes. a big one is the idea of being liked/accepted by everyone. peter and the apostles definitely were not, seeing that they were "flogged" by those around them for carrying out the gospel to the public.

me, being the BIG people-pleaser that i am.. i can't stand it if someone doesn't like me. i can't stand it if someone thinks badly of me... this is a huge barrier that stands in the way of bringing myself to that maximum potential-- let's just say that i really don't try my best.
