Job 3
this chapter is really interesting. starting from chapter 3, the book of job is written in a series of poems.
after encountering satan, after declaring his faithfulness to God, we get an insight as to how much job has suffered throughout all this.
if you guys get a chance, read this chapter.
when i read this, oh wow.. i've never related to a biblical character as much as i just did to job. i was gonna journal my qt tonight, but after realizing this, i thought to myself "i MUST blog this."
in this passage, job wishes he wasn't born. "16 why was i not hidden in the ground like a stillborn child, like an infant who never saw the light of day?" he starts questioning his existence. at this point, he wishes that he could experience death, thinking that it would be more peaceful than life ever would be.
"24 for sighing comes to me instead of food; my groans pour out like water."
job closes his ment by saying that he has no peace and no rest, but only turmoil.
in this sense, we're like job. we've been broken.. we've been put through the fire. times like these, just cry out to God saying "we need You."
