3. if anyone teaches otherwise and doesn't consent to wholesome words, even the words of our LOrd, Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, 4. he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, 5. useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such, withdraw yourself. -1timothy 6:3-5
timothy has taught me so much the last couple months. whenever i'm stuck, i go to timothy.
this passage makes me realize how i need to pull myself out from every part of me that might lead me down the wrong road... he is proud, knowing nothing. and this is how we fall away from our relationship with Christ. for a girl, i think i have a HUGE pride issue. it's so huge that sometimes, it gets in the way of me and God...
useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth.. this pride issue drags me down to the point where it makes me think like the rest of the world thinks.. and then paul instructs us to pull ourselves outt of this state of mind. easier said than done.. it's so hard to fight my pride.
