2 Corinthians 4:3-7
3. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
- God's words are not only for the saved christians, but also for those who are perishing-- those are are falling away from Christ, those who are so fascinated by what the world has to offer. what we dont realize is that the gospel offers us so much more. it's just a matter of what path we choose- whether we choose our desire for the world, or our desire for humbleness within God's words. the "god of this age" = satan's doing. when we become self-absorbed with this, he celebrates, and we disappoint God. despite of this though, his gospel is always available for us.
5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.
- as we start to get ourselves back on track, we gotta keep in mind that we're putting forth effort in this relationship with God to glorify HIm, not to benefit ourselves. when we preach the gospel, we do it for His glory, not for ours.
