open the eyes of my heart

psalm 115:2-7

² Why do the nations say, "Where is their God?" ³ Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.
^{---so many times, we're blinded and we tend to think God is missing from our lives,, maybe you feel that GOd hasnt been hearing your prayers, or because so many bad things are happening to you, God may be neglecting you. i feel like this sometimes,, but He is our almightyy God. He resides in His kingdom of glory and is with us wherever we go.}

⁴ But their idols are silver and gold, made by the hands of men ⁵ They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but they cannot see; ⁶ they have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but they cannot smell; ⁷ they have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but they cannot walk; nor can they utter a sound with their throats.
---sometimes, the reason why we're so blinded and cannot seek God is because we're seeking other things,,, unholy things perhaps? mm our idols should not consist of anything made by men, but of Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven only. we can't grow if we don't throw these things out. our relationship with God is paused unless we let go of these idols.
