post-thanksgiving break entry

so i just spent a week at home for the first time since august.. and it's weird, but the more i miss home and the less time i spend there, the more i realize how much i love my mommy and daddy


remember how GOd commanded us to honor our parents?

for some of us, we struggle with this because we don't know if everything they do is right or wrong..


well, i'm just gonna take time to proudly say that HE has provided us with the BEST mom and dad. ever. yess,, they're human too and they make mistakes. but in my eyes, everything they do is based off of integrity, whats best for others rather than for themselves, and most def centralized around God's will. i really hate it when other people look down upon them/betray them and don't give my parents (especially my dad) enough credit.

my momm - just as i did when i was a baby, i still cuddle with my momm when she's taking naps during the day or watching tv. she tells me everything, and vice versa, i don't hide any secrets from her.

my dad - dream after dream,, his dreams for God's glory are neverending. he teaches us everything.. anything from his sermons to stuff about carss. i love it the most when he puts his hands on my sister's head and my head and prays for us out loud.


alll this tops everything - i don't care how much money they make or how much materialistic things they give us; they've provided us with enough love, attention, prayer and motivation to last a lifetime.

and during this past week, it kept striking me how their love = God's love for us.

Psalms 103:13 - As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.

if GOd asked me to choose between a lifestyle of money, fame, and attention without the love and support from two amazing parents versus a lifestyle of nothing but the love and support from two amazing parents,, i would def. pick the second one...

now substitue that with "the love and support from God."
-if GOd asked me to choose between a lifestyle of money, fame, and attention without the love and support from God versus a lifestyle of nothing but the love and support from God,, i need to learn to say that i would choose the second one.

every day this week,, i heard GOd speaking to me,, "esther, the love that your parents have given you is the love that I have given to you as well;; only, MIne is greater."
