wow moment.

i just had a WOW moment. ever get those while reading the bible? sometimes, i think i know what i'm doing and i like to think that God has taught me as much as He can teach me and that there's nothing more for me to learn... but nahh,, He still has so much more in store for me.


1 john 1:8-10

⁸ If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.


we all fall short, no doubt.. but there are times where i feel like i'm doing it right and that God is content with my decisions. what sin can come from this?!.. this is where we deceive ourselves-whether we're blinded by materialistic things, people, love, what ever more you can think of that's self-fulfilling. isn't this a sin in itself?! man, this christian life is so complicated. but we are prone to sin every day.. maybe every hour, every minute.. if we cannot admit that, verse 10 states that "we make Him to be a liar".... He has loved and given us the gift of grace because of sin. for us to take pride in our christian lives and state that we don't sin is like saying that we don't need God's love. let's face it,, we need HIm. we need to admit everything that we have done wrong to God.. just as you would tell your best friend everything, make God your best friend and tell HIM everything.
