in writing this, peter wants to warn christians about the inevitability of false teachings. we're so used to what society has expected of us that we tend to mix their views and morals and logic to justify God's words, or even vice versa. this is why it's so critical for us to persist on reading the word and continuing forward with our relationship with God. when we accepted Christ, we automatically became eyewitnesses of our majesty. because of this, we need to be careful of what we believe to be true. we need to be able to defend the word. amen?!
