2 corinthians 2:10-11
10 Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
forgiveness. such a beautiful thing in God's eyes. i've been thinking about the idea of forgiveness a lot lately.. it seems like its a recurring theme in my life and will continue to be in the future. i was having a heart to heart with one of my closest friends yesterday,, and she confessed to me that there is one person in her life whom she feels like she can't forgive, due to a past that she cant seem to let go of. it broke my heart hearing how much she has been suffering, but what hurt me more was the fact that she couldn't find it in her heart to forgive.
this is where God's grace comes in. this is something that He's been gracious enough to teach me this year, amongst a million other things. as long as we have accepted this, it should be enough for us to forgive those who have wronged us. this is a command. it's also a sin to not forgive. it's something that Satan surely looks down at us for. he stirs within us the justification as to why we shouldn't forgive. but our God is greater than Satan and He commands us to find it in our hearts to forgive. forgive forgive forgive. if not, seek help and ask others to pray for you. i believe that this is soo crucial for us. without it, we're lost spiritually and our walk with God will not persist - not unless we forgive.
