shifting back to the new testament--

2 peter 1:3-4

" 3His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness."
-
"His divine power".. to me, this is the power of the cross and the resurrection of Christ and how they have established my faith in the Lord. i strongly believe that by accepting this, we have obtained everything we ever needed in life. only through Christ, all things are possible.

"4
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires."
-i spent some time reflecting on what some of these promises are.. His promise to us for eternal life that when our times come to leave this world that is full of suffering and pain, there is no such weeping and sorrow in heaven. in addition, the promises that He has given us to be free.. not to be enslaved of our mistakes and our sins, but to live in peace. with that, praise God =]
