2 Peter 3:8-9

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
-this was confusing the first time i read this.. a day=a thousand years. so i tried playing with the idea a little bit in order to grasp the concept better... for me, i can probably tell you everything that i did today, from when i woke up - until now. i remember every single detail of today.. but if i were to tell you about yesterday, or the day before, or last friday,, it might be little bit of a blurr. before you know it, i'm probably not gonna remember exactly what i did on these particular days. With God, on the other hand, He will remember every single detail of every single day period. a thousand years is only a fraction for HIm. this is another great expression that portrays His powers.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
-i love that we have a God who is like this.. He keeps His promises, He's patient, He wants the best in HIs people, and lastly, He hopes that we will seek repentance. He just wants a relationship with us and wants us to realize that no other person, thing or idol will offer us what He can offer us...
