the way jesus loved

james 2:1-4

1My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism. 2Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in shabby clothes also comes in. 3If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, "Here's a good seat for you," but say to the poor man, "You stand there" or "Sit on the floor by my feet," 4have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?

mmm a passage that we should all be reflecting upon as we get started with small groups - favoritism. it's just in our nature.. some we get along with better than others. this is definitely something i don't pray about enough-- here i am, trying to do all i can to live my life just as Christ did,, and yet, i struggle with something that HE never had shame in doing.. placing every individual on that level of equality.. He hung out with the pooor, He prayed for the sick, He loved those who werent easily loved by others.

to my fellow cstone leaders-- if you're blogging, and you happen to come across this, let's pray about this... none of our groups are perfect- but let's learn to love and pray for every single one of our members, disregarding their backgrounds or their social status.. let's love the way Jesus lovedd
